Our creative team is already making wonderful progress on Lore of Aetherra: Dark Symmetry! Writing is officially underway and the soundtrack is more than halfway scored. We’ve upgraded every part of our process and we think we’re doing our best creative work to date. Stay tuned for progress updates and playtest announcements in the coming weeks.

Today we submitted Backerkit surveys for review and the smoke test should be going out soon. Expect to see your survey hit your inbox this week. If you don’t see yours by the end of next week, reach out to us and we’ll get you sorted.

To all 1,719 of you: Your support means the world. Thank you.
We’re so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to return to the world of Aetherra and explore the underwater city of Chrysalea. Since before we wrote The Lost Druid, we’ve been dreaming about this place, its mysteries, the technology, and the energy source that powers it. We have an incredible team of creatives who are already writing, worldbuilding, and creating art to realize it and we absolutely can’t wait to share it with you.
For those who missed the campaign, we’ll have our Backerkit pre-order store open soon! There you’ll be able to purchase additional add-ons, like the one we just unlocked today: The Physical Player’s Guide & Character Sheets ($150k).
Backers at the Openda and Mother Tree tiers will be receiving five of the Dark Symmetry Player’s Guide booklets (one for each player at your table) and a deck of tear-away character sheets. We’ve always wanted to create these supplemental tools and can’t wait to get them in your hands!

Normally, a subscription is $8 /mo or $88 /yr.

Speaking of Alchemy, there’s just 48 hours left to get the Novarail Alchemy Content Module for FREE. Once the campaign ends, you’ll still be able to get this Dark Symmetry prequel, but not for free.
Our next stretch goal is within reach! At the $150k mark, we’ll unlock the Physical Player’s Guides and Character Sheets. Anansi's Tapestry of Lives is a 320+ page compendium of TTRPG and 5e compatible content built around over 100 unique and useful NPCs. Writers include Keith Baker (Ebberon creator), Jasmine Bhullar (Critical Role Marquet lore writer), Tanya DePass (Into The MotherlandsRPG creator), Ed Greenwood (Forgotten Realms creator), Jim Zub (Forgotten Realms graphic novels series). In addition to fully illustrated and detailed NPCs, there are stat blocks, magic items, inventories, adventures, and more. We’re humbled by the opportunity to keep creating, writing, designing, and composing for you. – Breaking the $100k mark also means we’ve unlocked another stretch goal, and we’re super excited about this one: The Digital Aethercraft Toolkit.
The good news is, we're not stopping here! For the campaign's final stretch, we're revealing two exciting new physical rewards: the Physical Player's Guide & Character Sheets ($150k) and the Physical Aethercraft Toolkit ($200k). Oh hey! Have you all seen Starlight Arcana yet? When we saw this new 5e supplement, it was an instant pledge. It's a project led by the wonderfully talented Kelfecil's Tales that gives you the tools to run a campaign among the stars. Not only is it beautiful on the outside, but it also promises some pretty awesome stuff on the inside, like 12 new subclasses, a new school of magic (Starlight!) with 50 new spells, and class-specific artifact weapons.
